Gorgeous little Regency era writing or antique jewellery box c.1810. Hand painted with an Oriental scene on the lid and beautifully observed flower specimens on the sides, all against a yellow ground. Despite the obvious wear this is a remarkable and rare survivor in fabulous original condition. Retaining its original brass ball and claw feet, handles, lock, hinges and even the pink lining paper to the interior.
