Regency rosewood sarcophagus form tea caddy C1820


Regency rosewood sarcophagus form tea caddy / caddie c1820.
The caddy has an in-laid mother of pearl escutcheon and is raised on bun feet. Internally it is divided into three sections with central pressed glass bowl (this maybe a later addition). The two tea sections hold independent caddies and are fitted beautifully into their compartments and have lids hinged with original piano hinges. Original lock (none working key) and original rosewood veneer on mahogany interior. to the sides are original turned handles.
Size:13 1/4” x 7 1/4” 8 1/4” tall
Condition: See pictures , couple of minor nicks to the wood. The largest of which is on the back of the lid. Hardly noticeable but I mention to be accurate.
