For your consideration this fine Regency rosewood sarcophagus form tea caddy circa 1815. The caddy has the original brass escutcheon and is raised on bun feet. Internally it is divided into three sections with central recess where the cut-glass bowl would have been kept. Lids to tea compartments are hinged with original piano hinges. Original lock with a working key and original rosewood veneer on mahogany interior.

Condition

The caddy is in excellent condition considering the age of the item, with only a chip to the front right bottom edging to note.

The photos can probably provide the clearest representation of condition so please examine these carefully.
