Rare Open-faced Fusee Pocket Watch & Chain, by Flinn.
A scarce open-faced, silver fusee pocket watch (125g) of the highest quality, by watch maker Edwin Flinn, of 10 Russell Terrace, Allesley Old Road, Coventry, (with a designated sales office in London). Hallmarked Chester 1901, the watch is listed with a 50g silver hallmarked Albert watch chain and gold / silver fob. (Total weight 175g).
During the height of English watchmaking, the city of Coventry watchmaking community was widely regarded as not only the best in Britain, but quite probably, the best in the world and Flinn was at the forefront of the sector, such is the heritage and prestige of this lovely timepiece.
The watch has a Flinn signed fusee movement, with compensated balance and ruby end stone a Flinn signed white enamelled face and subsidiary seconds hand dial with its original blued hands and a case crafted by John Harris of Hertford Place, Coventry.
The watch comes in an executive PU leather storage / display case with a winding key, together with instructions on how to wind and set the watch time.
Note: Silver chains and fobs are interchangeable. This watch can be sold with or without a chain/fob, or should you prefer, an alternative chain/Fob from our large stock. Please contact us for advice.
