This is a beautiful, 1920's Art Deco Powder Compact by Djer-Kiss of Paris - Originating in Paris, at Kerkoff's Parfum Shop, Champs Elysees, they were exported in the 1920's. Very much in the Art Nouveau style, this particular example is c. 1925, a white metal, loose powder compact. Depicting Repousse Art Nouveau Nymphs, circled by a sun ray lid border. All clasps and hinges are in good order, opening to reveal a double framed and hinged mirror, an empty powder well/sifter. A Soft pink, swansdown puff is also present - adorable! - C. 2" inch square x 5/8" inch. Appropriately signed. Featured in Laura Mueller's Collector's Encyclopedia, this is an excellent example at circa. 90 years old it will not disappoint the most discerning of collectors.
