Gifts for her vintage compacts rare vanity mirrors. A rare antique compact c.1930. The enamel lid shows the charming image of a lady with a neat black bob playing a musical instrument, possibly a lute or mandolin. To each side are Chinese lanterns. The engraved edges form an attractive border & the whole compact has a deep gold patina. The original rouge is in place as too is the puff.which is unusual. The one side serves as the face powder puff & the other the rouge puff. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The mirror gives a very good reflection. Such an attractive lid interior with lots of rouge left & the mirror in the shape of a half moon. Measures 5 cm & weighs 28.9 grams.
