1819 - Perkins, Fairman & Heath Siderographic Advertising Specimen of the Plan for Preventing the Forgery of Bank Notes, with further Security Designs Printed on reverse in Blue. The disign was produced in persuit of a contract with The bank of England, however the bank of England did not award a contract but many British Banks did.
Perkins & Fairman produced the first Steel Plate Engraved Bank Note in the United States.
This Engraving would have been placed into a magazine of 1819/1820, (as was the only advertising medium at the time), with the hope of Banks awarding contracts.
