A mother of pearl musical compact that would make an ideal 30th / pearl wedding anniversary gift for her. This adorable 1950s Clover music box is in excellent condition. The lid is decorated with iridescent mother of pearl and it is very beautiful. It plays the tune very well. The bevelled mirror is excellent. The puff has the gilt motif of the Clover brand. The powder well door is signed 'Clover' and bears the Clover logo. This powder box has not been used with powder and so the puff and sifter are pristine. The brass is a deep rich gold & the base has an attractive brushed / satinized finish. Measures almost 3" X 2" & weighs 114.5 grams. Free lavishly illustrated history of this piece included.
