This is a fine quality English Old Charm pair of oak bedside tables, in the style of 16th century period, with Tudor inspired carvings, circa 1950, in excellent original condition. Ideal as a pair of lamp or bedside tables, featuring a pot-cupboard storage area.

Description:
This is a fine quality English Old Charm pair of oak bedside tables, in the style of 16th century period, with Tudor inspired carvings, circa 1950, in excellent original condition. We believe this pair of oak tables originate from Wood Brothers, who created “Old Charm” furniture, which originated in 1920 onward, inspired by the craftsmanship of the English Tudor and Elizabethan eras. The pair of bedside tables are in the style of the English Tudor period, which dates from between 1500 to 1530. The pair of oak bedside tables feature a “flowerspotte’ carved arch panel, supported by Corinthian columns on pedestals. The door retains the original iron “butterfly” hinges, which were typical of this period. The cupboard door open to reveal a useful storage area - they are ideal as a pair of lamp or bedside tables. Below, is a carved ed frieze, supported by corner spandrels. The oak bedside tables are raised on ring turned legs, united at the base by a stretcher, between the legs, which terminate on block feet. The pair of oak side tables are constructed in the traditional manner with mortice and tenon pegged joints, inset side panels.
The pair of oak tables boast a mellow brown oak colour. They have a fantastic colour, depth and patination this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning they have received.
The pair of 16th century style tables would look superb in a variety of rooms from the hallway to living room. They would certainly grace any home and are a great investment, as they’re extremely functional. So, don’t miss out on your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.

This is a fine quality vintage English pair of oak tables, in the style of 17th century period, featuring a drawer and pot-board ideal as lamp or bedside tables, in excellent original condition. The tables have been cleaned and wax-polished by hand in our workshop, to a professional standard, therefore the colour and patination is of a high standard. Nominal old use marks to the tops and leading edges, but nothing significant considering their age. The frame is constructed of solid oak and retain their original knobs and iron hinges. There are no breaks to the legs or frame. The pair of oak side tables are solid in joint and ready to be used.

We offer free delivery to mainland England, Wales, and Southern Scotland (anywhere south of Stirling). We do not offer free delivery to locations north of Stirling in Scotland, Northern Ireland, or any British Islands off the mainland for example, the Isle of Man, Isle of White and Channel Islands. Delivery times are usually 1-4 weeks depending on location we aim to deliver the majority of items within 2 weeks. All items are professionally packaged and fully insured in transit therefore, we can assure you, your items will be securely protected in transit and arrive safely with you.
Once you have purchased an item, we will contact you by email and/or telephone and provide you with a provisional delivery date, in order for you to confirm if it is suitable for you. Once you have confirmed you can accept delivery on the provisional delivery date, we will book the delivery in with our shippers and it then becomes a confirmed delivery date.
