Pair of French Louis XVI style open armchairs c.1950. Shapely walnut frames with extensive carved detail. Slightly curved oval backrests topped with a Classical urn detail, padded arms on swept supports and large sprung seats all recently upholstered in a pretty purple and gold flatweave fabric. Raised on turned and reeded legs, slightly splayed at the rear for stability. Excellent condition.
