This is a pair of antique hunting novels by Wanderer. An English language, hard bound copy of Across Country and Fair Diana, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1880.
Using the pseudonym of Wanderer, Elim Henry D'Avigdor (1841–1895) turned to writing hunting fiction in the late Victorian period, after a career as a civil engineer in London. Published in 1882 and 1884 respectively, this pair of books bear the titles Across Country and Fair Diana. Illustrated by Georgina Bowers (1836 - 1912) professionally acknowledged as one of the first female humourists.
Presented in lightly timeworn, intact antique condition, with some marking commensurate with age
Hard bound in red cloth with gilt illustrated decoration
Across Country comprises 361 pages, with Fair Diana published across 360 pages
