This Pair of Antique gilt pier mirrors were made circa 1820
Each mirror has a bevelled plate glass mirror. Both mirrors lightly showing signs of their antiquity. The frame around the glass is decorated with superb egg and dart carving.
The arched Royal Blue arched panels with hand carved wooden figures of an eagle that is then with gilded gesso.
The rectangular Royal Blue panels under the plate glass mirrors have a decorative gesso and gilt design.
To each side of the mirror are half columns and gilded acanthus capitals. Above the pillars the architectural pediments with acanthus gilt gesso decoration give the pair of mirrors a look of importance.
It is rare to find a pair of pier mirrors and so don’t miss this opportunity.
