Tribal Carved Pairing - Ebony - c1850
A very desirable pair of Ebony tribal candle sticks carved in ritual form creating a pair of busts.
At just under a foot tall this superb pair make a lovely statement or feature piece. The ebony has a deep tone which draws you into the sculptured detail and the mystery of the form.
A solid ebony base leads via a slender neck into the stunning carving. The heads support a traditional African pot in which a candle, incense or burner may be placed.
The pair are in superb condition. A wonderful example and a very interesting decorative antique collectable.
