Ornate Antique Tea Caddy, English, Rosewood
This is an ornate antique tea caddy. An English, Rosewood sarcophagus chest with Mother of Pearl inlay, dating to the Regency period, circa 1820.

Foliate Mother of Pearl inlay graces the lid and front fascia
The dome top lid secured by an inlaid, working lock — key present with dashing tassel
Upon opening, the rouched velvet lining in rich scarlet catches the eye
Arranged as a pair of caddies with mixing glass to the centre
Each Rosewood caddy with Mother of Pearl inlay to lid
