This is a beautifully framed original antique map of Kent by Thomas Moule dating from circa 1840.

The map is a highly decorative steel engraving with later hand-colouring. There are four coats of arms set within a gothic-style border and vignettes of Dover, Rochester and Greenwich Hospital.

Dimensions: Frame 43 x 38 cm (16 1/2" x 15")
Mount window (approximates to image) 27 x 20.5cm (10 1/2" x 8")

Condition: The map is a bright, strong impression free of any damage and repairs. There are no folds and it has a blank verso. It has been recently framed in attractive giltwood moulding and green archive-quality mount with gold line. A label on the reverse provides some information on the map. It is ready to display on your wall.
