This early Victorian period open bookcase is crafted in English Oak and presented beautifully.

Offering triple shelves and a useful overall depth of over 10" this solidly crafted piece is both functional and very attractive.

The deep oak colour combines with the Gothic feel to the piece generated by the gorgeous hand-carved frieze, delivering a feature bookcase suitable for all locations. Knees at each shelf point and the castellated front edge to the top add to the interest.

Overall this is a very solid item of antique furniture that is in good antique order throughout and an unusual find.
