Stunning Foldover Card Table - Gilt Metal

This late 20th century period table is presented in superb order and is a very pleasing example of a fold-over Louis XVI design.

With fine veneer and cast gilt metal embellishment this piece displays superb quality and condition.

The piece will make a fine hallway, study or sofa table and converts to a lovely four seat card table making it wonderful for games, tea or intimate dining.

The table rides upon classic cabriole legs which present gilt metal to the foot and hip.

A serpentine front with veneered cross-hatched panels displays further gilt metal and a fabulous central casting.

The top shows further quality veneer throughout with cross-hatching bordered with birch to match with the high craftsmanship shown throughout the piece. A gilt metal perimeter casting completes the stunning look.

The upper rotates through a quarter turn to reveal a hidden storage recess. When opened the table benefits from a good condition quality baize surface trimmed with gilded embossed leather edge trim.

The table is presented in excellent order. The upper surfaces are in stunning condition and the piece presents wonderfully throughout.
