Pocket Watch 'The Atlas Watch' 1910
with Silver Chain

A large Goliath (70mm) silver 0.935 gent's pocket watch in mint condition, signed 'The Atlas Watch', made in Switzerland in 1910. The large pocket watch comes with an original silver three type chain on a fetter.
0.800 and 0.925 are standard sterling silver. 0.935 is a higher quality silver.

In Piccadilly there is a shop which sells a similar silver Goliath pocket watch. He asks for £13000 GBP. He says it is the only silver Goliath PW. In my 30 years of dealing with antique watches, this is the second time I have it in stock.

DIAL: The large and easy to read white enamel dial has thick black Roman numerals with outer minute divisions. The dial has blued hands and a subsidiary seconds dial at the six. The protective high bevelled glass is in excellent condition.

MOVEMENT: The keyless wind movement has blued screws. The movement is signed: 'The Atlas Watch, Manufactured in Switzerland'. The pocket watch is in very good working condition, however we cannot guarantee accuracy for an antique pocket watch.

CASE: The pocket watch lies in a high grade silver case with a smooth finish. The inner side of the case and the cuvette are both stamped with silver hallmarks: 0.935 and both numbered: 502626.
