A highly sought-after miniature antique jewellery trunk, perfect for either a lady or gentleman.

Made from fruitwood, it is intricately hand-carved in the from of a trunk including straps to the sides and straps to the top, trimmed in polished brass.

The front has a brass mounted escutcheon with keyhole cover and comes complete with a working key. The box opens to reveal the signature of the maker on the lock, Seugnot, Paris. The inside has been professionally re-lined to create a fresh interior ready to use.

An absolute jewel in superb condition. 5 3/4" x 3" x 2 1/2" tall.
