Mid-Century Modern Teak Meredew Bookcase Cabinet
A Very Good Vintage Mid-Century Modern 'Meredew' Bookcase-Cupboard.
A relatively scarce and seldom seen model from Meredew that rarely finds its way onto the market - especially so in this fine condition. A super design and very much in the Scandinavian style, this brilliant bookcase cabinet provides a very practical 'all in one' storage solution.
The richly coloured teak outer displaying nice grain and contrasting with a bright sycamore interior. A total of eight shelves, divided down the centre, four of which are fully adjustable to take books or objects of varying size. All set over four drawers, with beautifully recessed handles or pulls.
Perfect for an office, dining or living area and where space is at a premium.
This unit is able to hold quite a lot and unlike open bookcases, the sliding glazed areas on this example mean your books and prized items will stay safe and free of dust. There is of course the option of easily adding sliding glass locks should you want to make the cabinet secure.
The lower drawers ideal for place mats, papers, documents and supplies.
The whole sitting on four turned legs. Very well made and robust - rest assured this is a quality item.

Presented in excellent condition for age. It is completely original throughout, with the correct shelves, pegs and glass etc and is structurally sound.
