Marine stick barometer by Negretti & Zambra
A good 20th C gimballed marine barometer by Negretti & Zambra. Serial number 2988. Standard length for these instruments of some 36 inches: this one is mounted on a wooden board which the previous owner used to secure it to the wall of his house. He however retained the stirrup that was used to suspend it in his pre WW1 'Diana'. It could thus easily returned once more to nautical use or displayed, gimbal mounted, in the house rather than as it has more recently been. All appears to be functioning correctly but its accuracy has not been professionally verified.
