Mahogany Bonheur Du Jour Writing Desk

A smart antique Georgian Style bonheur du jour writing desk in mahogany. This was made in England, it dates from round the 1950’s.
It is a useful size with lots of nice features. There is an inset leather writing surface, this sits on nicely tapered legs terminating in spade feet. The back gallery contains six small drawers and two cupboards, there is beautiful satin wood inlay on the door and drawer fronts.
We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for it age. The back is also nicely finished, so this can be used as a free standing item.

Depth – 22 inches , 56 cm
Height – 41 inches , 103 cm
Desk height – 30 inches , 76 cm
