A 1955/56 Longines Conquest wristwatch. A stainless steel case with silvered dial, markers at 12,3,6 and 9 and tapered markers in between. Dauphine hands and sweep seconds. An automatic 19 jewel caliber 19AS mechanism stamped Longines. The original Longines strap buckle and a genuine Longines strap. Serial numbers date this watch to 1955.

The Longines Conquest was launched in 1954 as a high end automatic model and this is an early 'first generation' example made circa 1955. The case back has a distinctive gold and green medallion with a fish and has engraved initials for 1956.
