This is a lovely late Georgian early Regency antique jewellery box made of rippled satin wood and crossbanded kingwood. What makes this box special is how the wood catches the light and appears iridescent. The lid has a lovely inlaid butterfly surrounded by ebony. The inside has a wood tray and is lined in a soft red leather. There is a working lock and key.
