For sale we have a truly stunning and almost new old stock late 1950s/Early 1960s 9ct gold Smiths Astral wristwatch.

This gentleman's 9ct yellow gold watch has a lovely virtually pristine silvered dial with an outer minute and an inner hour chapter marked with Arabic numerals at the 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions, single dagger batons elsewhere and a lovely textured subsidiary second hand at the 6 o'clock position. The dial is completed with the original gold hour/minute hands and second hand, all of which are in an excellent condition. The dial is encapsulated beneath a very good acrylic crystal, is signed Smith Astral and is marked Made in England outside the minute chapter at the 6 o'clock position

The watch case carries a British Rail 40 year service inscription for an H Forman, and encapsulates a 15 jewel Smiths movement. The watch sets and runs well having been serviced by our watchmaker and is being sold with a six month warranty.

The watch case is approximately 1 & 1/2 inches (4cm) in diameter including the lugs and is presented on a good brown leather strap in it's original box with it's original guarantee.
