Large Terracotta Garden Planter on Pedestal
This superb garden planter is of large proportions, and on its pedestal measures over 1.4m high. It is made from what we believe to be terracotta. The planter features lovely figureheads around the top, connnected by a garland of flowers. We believe the piece to be twentieth century in date, although it in the Victorian country house style. It is nicely weathered and has a lovely aged patina. Please note that it splits down into three to aid with transportation, although it is still very heavy.
Condition: Overall this piece is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. It has an aged finish, and has the wear you might expect from a used garden item that has been outside for a number of years. There are some manufacturing flaws and some small holes that we believe to be bubbles in the casting. There is some chipping and loss and some signs of repair that may have been done at the time of manufacture. It is grubby and has some marks and stains.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
143cm high (on pedestal), 61cm diameter of top. Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
We can arrange delivery of both smaller items and furniture - please contact us for details and a quote. Customers are also welcome to use their own couriers if preferred.
Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque [UK only], and cash on collection.
