Large Light Oak Ornately Carved Cabinet on Stand

1 of 6
A lovely carved oak cabinet. We date this cabinet to the second half of the 20th century.
The cabinet sits on a table base with two robust carved legs at the front and two oblong section legs at the rear. There is stretcher with a small carved gallery at the base. The front apron has decorative carvings with a lion's mask in the middle.
The cabinet consists of two side hinged doors with knights and shields carved within an arched shaped panel, the cornice top also has lovely carvings. The door hinges are large and decorative. The cabinet has two removable shelves and both doors are fitted with locks (key supplied).
The cabinet has an overall height of 60" (153cm), a base table top width of 50" (127cm), a cornice width of 45” (115cm), a base table top depth of 17” (44cm) and a cornice depth of 15.5" (40cm).
The shelves have a depth of 11” (29cm).
This lovely cabinet remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are a few minor marks and some slight mellowing to the finish. The inside of the cabinet has a few darker marks.
This remains a very stylish and elegant cabinet which will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
