Large Carved Flame Mahogany Cocktail Cabinet
A lovely cocktail cabinet. We date this cabinet to the second half of the 20th century.
The cabinet comes in one section and sits on four decoratively carved Queen Anne legs on pad feet.
The cabinet consists of top and bottom cabinets each with two side hinged cupboard doors. The top cabinet has a lovely recessed cornice with a central carved decoration. Internally it is lined in maple and has a mirrored rear and base with two recessed glass shelves. There is a pull out mirrored shelf below the base with a maple front and tiny brass drop handles. The doors each have a gallery shelf to the inside.
The lower cabinet has a mirrored base and a drawer to the top right, below there is an decoratively carved splayed apron to the front and sides.
Both cabinets are fitted with lights but we recommend the wires are checked over by an electrician prior to use.
The cabinet has lovely flame mahogany panel doors and is fitted with locks (key is supplied). The top cabinet has ornate brass hinges and lock scurtions.
The cabinet has an overall height of 62.5" (159cm) including cornice, a width of 36" (92cm) at widest and a depth of 19.5" (50cm) at deepest.
This lovely cocktail cabinet remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There is minor wear and foxing to some of the mirrors.
This remains a very stylish and elegant cocktail cabinet which will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
