Large Blue Wooden Chest
We recently acquired this large wooden chest from the P.E. department of a local high school.
The chest would originally have been used to store hockey sticks, sports markers and protective knee and shin pads.
We also have a large housekeeper’s cupboard, available to purchase separately, in the same blue paint finish, which was used in the art department to house paints, brushes and water pots.
The trunk has its original light blue paintwork, which is worn and aged – adding character and charm to this fantastic piece of antique furniture.
The chest would be ideal for storing blankets or bedding, or it could be repainted and used in a nursery as a large toy box.
This item is in good condition, with only signs of general wear and tear, consistent with an item that is almost 100 years old.
