This is a really beautiful example of an antique flat top steamer trunk. The trunk is made from wood & covered in a black canvas & is held together by wood & attractive metal corner studs. There are leather straps to the sides of the trunk, small metal wheels to the base & it also benefits from its original key. Some of the original travel stickers remain.

These trunks make fabulous coffee antique tables or bedroom storage. They have lots of room inside for blankets & towels, this one has an extremely clean & attractive interior.

The suitcase dates from the late part of the 19th century
