Large Antique Tobacco Box - English Bulldog c.1880 Antique English Bulldog %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
This is a rare opportunity to acquire a large beautifully carved tobacco box in the form of an English Bulldog sporting two large glass eyes.

These come along only in a blue moon and this is the first I have had.

The collar has lovely patinated metal mounts all around and once the hinged lid is open, the original gilded fittings and removable tobacco liner are revealed, also with the original gilded finish.

A magnificent find, as handsome as they come in excellent original condition dating to the Victorian era, around 1880. An impressive piece measuring 8" wide x 9" deep x 9 1/2" tall.
