Stunning large and heavy (10.2.kg)African tribal Benin bronze ceremonial container/pot,c1890. This is a very impressive piece with great decoration including a snake eating a man and with figural snake handles. it has great colour/patina. Overall condition is good in line with age and use .It has several casting holes/ losses which you invariably get with older African bronzes cast in the traditional lost wax method.

Size: 31cm tall x 30cm wide x 24cm deep, weight 10.2kg.
