Ladies silver half hunter fob watch, Mappin & Webb silver antique vintage %%alt5%%
"Mansion House" silver half hunter ladies fob watch made by Rotherham & Son for Mappin & Webb.

The watch has a Rotherhams stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and is protected by an inner hinged cover upon which is a 1910 engraving to Bertha Harrison from Mr and Mrs Kenneth Anderon, 1900-1910.

The watch measures 38mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is sterling silver and there are hallmarks inside the three covers for Birmingham 1907 with a maker's mark for Rotherham & Son, watch and watch case makers of Coventry.

The case is in super condition and the back has Bertha's initials ornately engraved.

The front cover has a small lens, which has some scratching, surrounded by blue enamel filled Roman numerals.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside the lens is in good condition. The dial is signed Mappin & Webb, London, and it is very nice condition. Blued steel hands, including the special half hunter hour hand, which are pin-set.

The watch comes with a pretty single albertina, 21.5cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. The chain is not hallmarked for sterling silver but is probably Continental 800 silver.

The watch and chain will be sent in a new presentation box.
