This vintage powder compact is suitable for use with modern loose & pressed / solid face powders of as a handbag mirror.
Probably the best boxed Stratton set you will see.
The super enamel set comes in the original Stratton presentation box with the original accessories. Neither accessories have ever been used & they are in superb condition. The enamel decorations are beautiful, stylish & are like they day they were made. The turquoise background enamel such a pretty contrast to the blue, gold, white & purple enamel flowers & foliage. The detailed enamel work has gilt accents. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The mirrors of both the 'Queen Convertible' compact & 'Lip View' are excellent & give clear accurate reflections. The brass is protected with a coat of lacquer & so this set will never need to be cleaned. The compact comes with the original inspection docket, inspection leaflet, Stratton silk (foam puff) & sifter. The base of the compact is decorated with fine vertical lines & tiny chevrons. The 'Lip View' has the original lipstick dummy.
This lipstick mirror can be altered to fit any size of lipstick. Even the original Stratton box is in excellent condition.
The vintage compact measures 3 1/4" & weighs 99.5 grams.
The vintage lipstick mirror / holder measures 2 1/2" & weighs 22.9 grams.
