Charming Japanese elm wood Tansu chest in original untouched condition. There are historic knocks, marks, cracks and scratches as is to be expected an item of it age, however these only add to its appeal as a very functional antique. Its 7 drawers all run smooth and retain the original iron handles and provide ample storage. It has gained a wonderful rich colour and patina over the years and has many more years of use ahead.
