Italian painting from the late 19th century. Oil on canvas, first canvas, artwork depicting a woodland landscape, Sunset in the Woods, of good pictorial quality. The painting, which extends vertically, is of beautiful size and proportion, adorned with a carved and gilded wooden frame with a velvet mat, showing some signs of wear (see photo). Signed lower right, H. Marko (see photo), attributed to the painter Henry Marko (1855-1921), missing additional documentation.
