A fine quality Victorian fitted antique jewellery box veneered and inlaid with maplewood, rosewood and ebony. The shaped top has a working key and is highlighted all the way round with cross grained moulding, it opens to reveal a fitted tray which can be lifted out to reveal a large storage area below. This box has all its fine original colour and polished surface. The condition throughout is excellent. The fitted tray is a replacement. Sizes: 11 ½ “(29cms) wide, 8 ¾ “(22cms) deep, 5 ½ “(14cms) high. Date circa 1870. I have reluctantly decided that after 60 years spent in this marvellous business it is, figuratively speaking, time to hang up my cheque book. I have therefore made considerable reductions to the prices of most of my stock. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if any items are of interest. Deliveries carried at as normal.
