Hand Written Document on Official Stamp Paper, giving Power of Attorney to William Fox Esq, of Market Place, Pontefract, Yorkshire from George Fox, whilst in India. Indian Revenue Tax Stamp, for Four Rupees. Printed in Black and Red Congreve Compound-plate printing. Measures 8.5 cms x 10 cms. Has Embossed Duty Stamp (General Treasury) Four Rupees at the base. Has a nice clear red seal. Plus the entire outside curved line with No.2 Indian Watermark. The centre of the Watermark showing the Royal Coat of Arms with outside circle saying Stamp Office. A very charming item indeed. Dated 3rd April 1866.
