This is a very pretty hand painted papier mache lidded box in the shape of a heart with delightful detail and colours. The box is hand painted and gilded in the Kashmir style and dates from the mid 20th century. It shows great skill in the intricate paintwork. The box measures 21 cms by 20 cms across 8 cms high and is in excellent condition.
