Incredible 13ft Victorian Gilt Shop Sign
An incredible huge Victorian hand carved painted and gilt Shop Sign. The most outstanding sign we have ever seen for sale anywhere. Measuring 3.9m in length by 65cm high this sign is simply beyond impressive.
Made from two solid pine planks (Pine was the preferred material offering strength and stability) with original washed out pale salmon pink painted finish , with gorgeous expertly hand carved deep copperplate text with gilt finish.
Displaying the most wonderful signs of gently wear commensurate with age this piece is beautifully untouched. With just a few historic worm holes to mention we have treated this piece to prevent against any future reoccurrence.
A more impressive sign may not exist.
Length 390cm. Height 65cm
