Impressive William 1V Fitted Sewing Box Rosewood workbox sewing %%alt5%%
This impressive, large, rosewood workbox dates from the early 19th century. It stands on bun feet and has ring handles. It's decorated with Mother of Pearl inlay to the front and domed top and to the front panels. It almost looks 100 years ahead of it's time with the front reminding me of an Art Deco cinema! Inside the faded blue silk is original but worn. It contains a full set of Mother of Pearl top reel holders, a silver thimble and pearl & steel sewing tools. Measures approximately 12" x 9" x 7" high. I prefer payment by bank transfer, details on request.
