Admiralty issued Hamilton Model 22 Deck Watch 48 Hour movement
This lovely watch/chronometer is complete with its inner box
Made in 1942 by Hamilton USA
It is marked Chronometer grade HS2 and the movement dates to 1942. It is quite rare to find this watch with the Admiralty markings. The watch shows some wear as depicted in the photographs. The dial is slightly faded and the plastic viewing glass on the small inner box has yellowed. The watch is in full working order and keeps good time. Deck Watches were used as navigational chronometers by some Allied ships
