Description:
This is a fine quality English Georgian style coffee table, in the shape of a butlers’ tray, constructed of solid mahogany, with a lovely rich colour, circa 1980, ideal for use a coffee table / occasional table, in excellent original condition. The antique versions, similar to this butlers’ tray were originally used both on grand tours and campaigns, but also in wealthy houses for serving drinks. This Georgian style coffee table would be ideal for use in the living room but also as an occasional table in the hallway. It boasts fine quality solid brass hinged shaped walls, with circular moulded ends, designed with pierced carrying handles. The wall can be lifted up to a vertical position, when not in use, or opened horizontal, to a display table. The Georgian style coffee table sits on a mahogany frame and classic Georgian style fluted legs, united by a central stretcher for strength. The level of detail and craftsmanship displayed are of a high standard.
The Georgian style coffee table tray has been cleaned and French-polished by hand to a professional standard in our workshop. There are no ring / water marks on the tray top surface. The hinged bars to the stand are original. This tray and table are a lovely example of a Butlers’ tray style replicated from the Georgian period.
The Georgian style coffee table boasts a rich mahogany, with a lovely grain figuration. This has been achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received. This truly is a very beautiful Georgian style coffee table with quality construction.

The hinged bars to the stand are original. There are no splits to the top either. The wooden tray and stand are both sturdy. This Georgian style coffee table tray is solid in joint and ready to use.

We offer free delivery to mainland England, Wales, and Southern Scotland (anywhere south of Stirling). We do not offer free delivery to locations north of Stirling in Scotland, Northern Ireland, or any British Islands off the mainland for example, the Isle of Man, Isle of White and Channel Islands. Delivery times are usually 1-4 weeks depending on location we aim to deliver the majority of items within 2 weeks. All items are professionally packaged and fully insured in transit therefore, we can assure you, your items will be securely protected in transit and arrive safely with you.
Once you have purchased an item, we will contact you by email and/or telephone and provide you with a provisional delivery date, in order for you to confirm if it is suitable for you.
