Georgian Stick Barometer Wechio Exeter
A well proportioned Georgian mahogany stick barometer. Cross grained veneers with satinwood banding. An architectural pediment with central brass finial. A silvered engraved dial with slide indicator and thermometer. Engraved 'Bapt. Wechio Fecit' to the dial. Circa 1825.
Baptista Wechio of Exeter is recorded in Banfield 'Barometer Makers and Retailers' book as working circa 1820-1840.
