Georgian Stick Barometer, Dolland of London
A fine quality Georgian stick barometer by noted maker, Dolland of London. A mahogany case with crossbanded edging and choice flame mahogany veneers. The original set knob. An arched pediment with moulded edging to the silvered engraved dial. A vernier slide adjuster to mark the rise & fall in air pressure. The original cistern cover. A long scale thermometer with the original mercury thermometer.
Dolland of London are noted makers and are documented and illustrated in the barometer books. This example dates to circa 1805.
