Georgian Regency satinwood & mahogany drum table
Antique quality late 18C or early 19C Georgian / Regency satinwood & mahogany centre drum table.
Period antique tables of this kind are very rare and desirable.
Period brass castors, with some wear as you would expect.
This is a beautiful item, with a lovely age, colour and patina (the top has been refinished historically as you would expect, but still retains a lot of its charm and character).
There are 4 dummy and 4 working drawers, with fruitwood drawer linings that slide freely.
950mm diameter top x 730mmH (580mmH knee hole).
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, distortion, repairs and alterations, as is always the way with antique furniture of this age. There is some historic cracking to the drawer fronts and veneers, but all is still very solid. Later handles and there have been historical repairs to the base and legs, but all is well glued and solid. There is some staining and marks to the insides of the drawers as you would expect.
Please note that this item is large and heavy. Please make sure before buying that it will fit in and can be maneuvered into the room that it is intended for. The customer will need to provide 1 strong able-bodied persons for our driver to assist with carrying.
