Georgian Oak Candle Box With Mahogany Crossbanding.
The box has a shaped backboard with 2 original holes for hanging purposes. The sloped top retains the original handmade hinges.
The top is crossbanded with Mahogany as is the front which also has string inlay. Wonderfull original colour. Very usefull addition to the home for keys etc:
Condition original, 3 small sections of crosssbanding missing from top, please look at images.Usual historical marks of an item of this age.3 historic woodworm holes treated to sides.
