Georgian Mahogany Tilt-Top Tripod Table
This attractive antique table dates from c.1780. It is constructed from solid mahogany and is of lovely quality. The table has a round top that can be tilted when not in use. It is supported on a nice turned column with a tripod base terminating in pad feet.
Condition: Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the piece is overall a little faded. The top is quite heavily marked with some dark ring marks. There are some signs of restoration in places - we believe the block at the top of the pedestal has been replaced at some point. The table is usuable, but there is some movement to the top when it is down. There are some signs of old woodworm - this is not active but has been retreated as a precaution.
