Georgian London Barometer by Rivolta
A Georgian mahogany mercury wheel barometer with an architectural pediment and original brass finial. Choice grain to the case with marquetry shell and fan inlays. Satinwood banded case edging. Well engraved silvered dials. The main dial signed 'A RIVOLTA, WARANTEED'.
Anthony Rivolta of 32, Brooke Street, High Holborn is recorded as working from 1822-1845. This example dates to circa 1825-30.
