A George III late 18th century mahogany serpentine fronted knife box with brass handles.

The box has a fantastic colour throughout with a warm glow.

There is a nibble to the front right lid rim (please see photographs) and one small clasp to the rear left hinge is absent. The box is lacking its fitted interior but retains a red felt lining to the interior lid and is clean and neat to the interior base, making it perfectly functional for correspondence or general storage.
